Your impact

As a Principal Enterprise Architect, you will shape Newmont’s enterprise technology landscape by guiding architecture decisions that enable secure, scalable, and simplified digital solutions. Your work will directly influence how technology investments support operational excellence, interoperability, and Newmont’s long-term strategic objectives.

As part of our team, you will

•    Lead the design and adoption of enterprise application architecture aligned to Newmont’s digital strategy
•    Assess current-state architectures and define transition and future-state roadmaps
•    Establish and maintain architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines
•    Design conceptual and logical solutions for complex, cross-application and integration challenges
•    Partner with business and IT leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and flexible technology solutions
•    Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and competitive advantage
•    Collaborate across architecture domains to ensure cohesive, end-to-end solutions
•    Communicate IT strategy, architecture direction, and governance to senior stakeholders

Prerequisites for your success in this role
  •  Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field • Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks, and best practices • Strong experience designing modern application and cloud-based architectures
  •  Strong background in managing complex and very diverse SAP ecosystems with a heavy cloud SaaS and PaaS footprint.
  •  Expertise in SAP LeanIX and SAP Signavio, preferably professional level certification
  •  Advanced expertise in large-scale, distributed application systems and integrations
  • Proficiency with TOGAF and enterprise architecture tools
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience supporting complex organizations, ideally in mining, heavy industry, utilities, or construction
  • Strong problem-solving, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
Your work environment
  • This role operates as a senior individual contributor within Newmont’s IT organization, partnering closely with global business units, site leadership, and technology teams. Occasional domestic and international travel to mine or exploration sites may be required.
  • The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
  • Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
  • The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $175,950-246,330. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.  

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
