POSITION SUMMARY

The Guest Services Counter Representative plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for both commercial and retail guests by delivering exceptional customer service and accurate automotive parts support. This position is responsible for providing timely and knowledgeable assistance regarding parts and products, managing in-person and phone interactions, and ensuring parts are correctly identified, pulled, and processed. A strong understanding of the automotive industry, including vehicle systems and components, is highly preferred to ensure precision in parts ordering and guest satisfaction.

This role also supports store operations through organization, inventory support, and by partnering with the management team to meet sales goals and KPIs.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests, delivering exceptional service in-person, over the phone, and via email/text.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on automotive parts, components, and systems, ensuring accurate parts lookup and order fulfillment.
  • Accurately locate and pull automotive parts for orders based on customer needs and specifications.
  • Partner with manager meet and exceed store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Answer phone calls within two rings and respond professionally to inquiries.
  • Process orders efficiently for both commercial and retail accounts.
  • Assist guests in resolving product-related concerns and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized counter, sales floor, and stockroom.
  • Conduct inventory duties including cycle counts, , and freight processing.
  • Perform cash register duties with attention to accuracy and accountability.
  • Open and close the store as assigned, following all operational procedures.
  • Support fellow team members with flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience required; automotive or parts counter experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, part identification, and components (e.g., hydraulic hoses, brake lines) is highly desirable.
  • Comfort with point-of-sale systems and inventory databases.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required.
  • ASE Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Other Requirements:
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
