Duties:

Performs financial functions supporting the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Pascagoula, MS Comptroller Department. Coordinates and communicates with local stakeholders, DFAS, NAVSEA HQ, Program Managers and various contractors so that vital financial data and information is prepared for timely processing and/or analysis and reconciliations to meet fiscal year requirements. Supports the Command's Expense Operating Budget (EOB). Exercises responsibility for detailed financial analysis and processing of various Navy accounts. Implements and executes internal controls as prescribed in the requirements and principles of the Federal Manager's Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA). Support program audits and respond to findings and audit information for program improvement. Reviews and interprets directives from Navy, NAVSEA Headquarters and develops supplemental instructions and guidance. Support program audits and respond to findings and audit information for program improvement. Uses system processes and procedures that ensure financial integrity. Coordinates directly with higher headquarters, other installations, program managers and functional personnel on financial and budgetary matters. Interrelates appropriated fund requirements, plans and funding with those available from other sources such as reimbursable programs and no-year funds to ensure optimum resource alignment. Prepares fund execution reports and briefs program directors, functional managers, and activity directors on fund status. Plans and executes reimbursable programs. Conducts detailed analysis of prior year obligation status to ensure mission accomplishment and improve current year execution. Maintains fund control for customers, and ensures integrity of fund control systems. Composes correspondence on financial and related matters requiring an extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
