We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing affidavits, legal correspondence, and various legal documents for attorneys.
- Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic filing systems for easy access to documents.
- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case specifics.
- Filing legal pleadings with the court clerk accurately and on time.
- Assisting in trial preparations by organizing exhibits and performing other tasks as needed.
- Drafting briefs, wills, contracts, real estate closing statements, pleadings, appeals, and similar legal documents.
- Investigating facts and laws pertinent to cases, including conducting public records searches.
- Coordinating and directing law office activities, including the delivery of subpoenas.
- Gathering and analyzing relevant statutes, legal decisions, and articles.
- Summoning witnesses to testify at hearings.
- Maintaining an up-to-date law library by monitoring legal volumes.
