Job Description

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with advanced education and clinical training who diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, performs physical exams, orders diagnostic tests, and provides patient education and counseling, often working in collaboration with other healthcare providers in a variety of settings like clinics, hospitals, or community health centers; essentially acting as a primary care provider with the ability to manage both acute and chronic health conditions across a patient's lifespan.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum and Preferred)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine Experience
  • Active Texas licensure (or ability to obtain).
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume ED setting.
