Summary

As an Automotive Assistant Store Manager, you will showcase your strong leadership abilities, integrity, and automotive expertise to support daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business goals. You will play a vital role in the management and optimization of our store's operations.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Store Manager in daily business management, including scheduling, staffing, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure services are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with safety and industry standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance shop performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies for customer retention and business growth to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Provide outstanding customer service through effective communication and timely resolution of customer concerns.
  • Manage inventory levels responsibly and oversee cost control measures to meet budget targets.
  • Act as a key holder, fulfilling opening and closing procedures, including nightly deposits and responding to security alarms.
  • Promote workplace safety and compliance with OSHA regulations through diligent training and support.
  • Ensure proper test drive protocols are followed for customer vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and senior management to execute business plans and initiatives.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

You will also:

  • Support the Store Manager in training, mentoring, and evaluating employees to ensure high-quality service and craftsmanship.
  • Participate in employee hiring, disciplinary actions, and professional development.
  • Promote a strong, cohesive team environment that values employee contributions and recognizes achievements.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures through staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage employee workflow and schedules efficiently.
  • Act as the Store Manager in their absence.

Required Education, Credentials, and Experience

You will need:

  • To be at least 18 years old.
  • An active and unrestricted driver's license.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business management is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of automotive industry experience.
  • At least three years of managerial experience is preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be exposed to various indoor and outdoor climates and will need to adhere to safety standards, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Physical Demands

This position requires physical endurance, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical activities in a busy environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hourly position requiring at least 50 hours per week, including weekend work depending on business needs.
