As a Data Center Implementation Manager, you will collaborate directly with hyperscale data center customers to understand their unique requirements for planning, designing, and laying out data center equipment and fit-outs. Acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams—including Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Solutions Engineering, and Sales—you will ensure customer needs are clearly defined and seamlessly integrated into project plans. Leveraging your expertise in spatial planning, engineering principles, and data center infrastructure systems—such as electrical, mechanical, cabling, and networking—you will optimize layouts for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
This role focuses on the critical planning and design stages of data center deployments, ensuring that fit-out solutions align with customer expectations, project timelines, and budgets while delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
Customer Collaboration:
  • Partner with hyperscale customers to gather and understand their specific requirements for data center planning and equipment layout.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of customer-provided designs, data center deployment plans, scopes of work (SOW), and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Planning & Design:
  • Develop optimized layouts for data center equipment, ensuring alignment with customer goals and operational standards.
  • Leverage knowledge of spatial planning and infrastructure systems (electrical distribution, mechanical systems, cabling, and networking) to create designs that prioritize efficiency and scalability.
Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Solutions Engineering—to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Manage RFP processes for contractor selection, evaluate bids, and recommend vendors that deliver high-quality execution at competitive pricing.
  • Manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of internal or contracted personnel or third parties who are providing services or performing on-site installations.
Process Oversight:
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Ensure all equipment fit-outs and installations meet Prime Data Centers’ quality, budgetary, and timeline standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and any adjustments to timelines or budgets.
  • Document and report on project costs, comparing actual expenditures to budget estimates.
Compliance & Standards:
  • Ensure all designs and project plans comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and Prime Data Centers’ internal guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Strong project management skills, ideally a PMP or similar certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the data center industry in design, construction and/or fit out.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure.
  • Intermediate level knowledge in reading/interpreting construction plans, one-line drawings, and construction specifications.
  • Advanced level proficiency in the use of MS Productivity tools, including Teams, Word, Access, Excel, Visio & Project.
  • Strong written and verbal customer service skills.
  • Ability to track costs for all projects, using purchase orders and other tracking methods.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical facilities environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ($130-$150K) and performance bonus program
  • 401k fully vested upon enrollment, up to a 4% employer match
  • 100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability
  • Paid Time Off + Sick time
