Summary: Provide comprehensive support to students by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral
needs. This role delivers solution-focused interventions, collaborates with school and community stakeholders, and
coordinates resources to promote student well-being, engagement, and academic success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies that support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including brief,
solution-focused interventions.
• Collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators to support Individualized Education Plans and
create comprehensive support strategies.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and connect them with appropriate school and community
services.
• Facilitate communication between the school, families, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support and
coordinate services or appointments when needed.
• Provide crisis intervention to address urgent mental health or safety concerns and support student well-being.
• Create and facilitate workshops or trainings for students, families, and staff on relevant topics such as bullying
prevention, mental wellness, and substance abuse awareness.
• Advocate for students' rights and coordinate school, family, and community resources to promote engagement
and learning.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with agency expectations, while promoting attendance and
addressing barriers to student success.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education, Licensure, & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, with at least one year of experience in health or human
services.
• Preferred to have or be eligible to obtain one of the following: Certified School Counselor, Licensed
Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or School Psychologist.
• Master's degree preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Knowledge of common social, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by students.
• Ability to manage crisis situations appropriately and respond to potential risks.
• Working knowledge of federal and state education standards and regulatory requirements.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this position require the employee to frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout the school
environment. The role involves occasional twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, and
reaching. The employee must be able to perform fine motor tasks such as keyboarding, grasping, and manipulating
materials. Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds may occasionally be required. The position does not
require ladder use or crawling and involves limited exposure to vibration. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary
to perform essential duties, interact with students and staff, and complete required documentation.
Work Environment
The work environment is typically indoors and moderately quiet. This position requires local travel and the use of
personal transportation. The employee may be exposed to viruses, disease, infections, or traumatic situations (e.g.,
psychiatric crises) during the course of duties. Work schedules may vary based on operational needs.
