POSITION OVERVIEW:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician in our refinery. This full-time position operates on a 4-10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of additional hours on weekends and holidays. As an Electrician, you will be essential in maintaining electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient refinery operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize various tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical systems, including motor circuits, switchgear, motor control centers, UPS systems, and complex control systems.

  • Perform work according to applicable standards/specifications (Marathon, Industry, or Manufacturer).

  • Engage in preventative maintenance as part of our Mechanical Integrity Program.

  • Interpret electrical one-line drawings and schematics and operate testing equipment.

  • Execute Lock out/Tag out procedures and adhere to industrial safety processes.

  • Comply with Marathon's electrical safe work practices.

  • Manage circuit breakers effectively.

  • Maintain necessary safety and development training as outlined in the site plan.

  • Recognize when electrical PPE is required and use it appropriately.

  • Promote a collaborative and positive work environment while ensuring high-quality results.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minnesota Master or Journeyman Electrician License.

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Ability to learn complex refinery-related materials.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is required upon hire.

  • Availability to work a 4-day, 10-hour (day shift) schedule, with some potential for weekend, night, and holiday shifts.

  • Must adhere to a strict Drug and Alcohol policy and pass a pre-employment assessment.

  • Familiarity with refinery equipment codes & standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, while using appropriate PPE.

  • Support TAR as required.

COMPENSATION:

Starting pay for this role is $54.91 per hour during training, reaching a maximum rate of $56.89 with demonstrated proficiency. Scheduled annual increases are included.

This position is located at 301 Saint Paul Park Rd, St Paul Park, Minnesota.
