Job Summary:

This position will involve traveling locally to customer facilities for service and maintenance work on trailers. Position may require one week per month of after-hours/on-call work.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Travel locally to worksites to repair or replace damaged or worn parts
  • Evaluate and diagnose mechanical & electrical problems
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear
  • Dismantle, reassemble, and fabricate repairs on semi-trailers
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance
Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED - Required
  • 2-5 years' experience with heavy duty equipment repair - Preferred
  • Completion of a vocational or other post-secondary training program - Preferred
  • Trailer body and/or Welding and Fabrication experience - Preferred
  • Having your own hand tools is a plus, but not all required (larger equipment/tools will be supplied by Company).
  • Ability to operate heavy duty equipment
  • Time management skills
  • Self-starter with a great attitude
  • Ability to obtain a Chauffeur's License and DOT Medical Card if needed (company paid)
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) if needed (company paid)
  • Clean driving record
Candidates Must be Able to Lift/Carry the Following:
  • 100lbs - Infrequently
  • 25-99lbs - Occasionally
  • 1-24lbs - Frequently
