Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: Temporary Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred. License: Active Washington license required for submission. Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: - Proficiency in diagnostic and screening mammograms. - Open to floating to other campuses. Description: Candidates who have been separated from any other facility for at least 3 months are eligible for this contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Must be able to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. Responsibilities include producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by relevant standards. Ability to accurately produce high-quality diagnostic mammographic images is essential. Must perform, in conjunction with the physician staff, related special procedures. Requires working knowledge of breast anatomy, proper radiographic exposure factors, and procedures for mandated quality control activities. Familiarity with various x-ray equipment and associated applications, specifically in mammography and processing units, is necessary. All new technologists must have 25 exams observed by another technologist before working independently. Daily patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The department operates Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Scheduling needs must be met, and special requests will not be accommodated. Candidates should secure housing and be aware of local living costs if applicable. All onboarding items must be completed promptly.
