Highlights of the Opportunity
- Strong regional name recognition with broad provider network referral base.
- Most common procedures/surgeries: General plastics and soft tissue reconstruction (flaps), post-Oncologic and trauma reconstruction.
- Microvascular breast reconstruction is a plus.
- Guthrie Sayre campus provides a General Surgery Residency Program and teaching opportunities with regular rotations of residents and medical students.
- Robust EHR used in all areas, including operating room (EPIC 10-Star health system, top 1% of EPIC Organizations.
Candidate Requirements
- Unwavering commitment to the Guthrie mission of improving patient health through clinical excellence and compassion; every patient, every time.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery.
- New York State and Pennsylvania licenses required.
- DEA required.
Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $604,000 to $750.000.
- Full benefits include medical, dental and disability insurance.
- Malpractice/Liability Insurance including tail coverage.
- Guthrie retirement savings plan (403B) with employer match, vested at start.
- Allowance for licensure fees, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate, and renewals.
- A $15,000 referral bonus is available to employed physicians who refer a physician that is hired full-time.

- Teaching opportunities - The successful candidate also has the potential to participate in medical student education and onsite residency programs. Guthrie Sayre is a regional campus for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

Acquired by Guthrie, a not-for-profit, integrated health care system, in early 2024, Guthrie Lourdes joins Guthrie in serving Northeast Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier region of New York with six hospitals and 76 regional offices in a 13-county catchment area.
