About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Acute Injury Clinic (AIC). The PA will provide comprehensive care for patients with acute orthopaedic injuries, including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment under the supervision of orthopaedic physicians. The PA will also provide initial care for patients walking in with less acute orthopaedic issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments and physical examinations for orthopaedic injuries
• Order diagnostic imaging studies (including X-rays, CTs, MRIs)
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including physical therapy, splinting, casting, minor procedures and appropriate follow up with your orthopaedic providers
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Educate patients and families on injury management, rehabilitation, and preventive care
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited PA program; NCCPA Certified
• Licensed (or eligible) in New Hampshire
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Experience in orthopaedics or urgent care preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Saturdays & Sundays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with potential for additional weekday shifts)
