Overview

This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years experience in pressure systems, heat exchanger and/or other related systems to support wind tunnel test facility refurbishment.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS Specify pipe/fittings by media, flow, pressure/temperature rating. Interpret, understand, and create system P&ID’s. Understand & implement code-compliant system design and fabrication methods. Evaluate and select instruments, control valves, regulators, pressure safety devices, etc. Understand the fluid mechanics of pressurized systems and how different components work and interact. Be on-site for support of the fabrication & commissioning phases. Update project technical leads with schedule and task information Work with technicians to properly install and test hardware Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience developing piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID) Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Experience in design and verification of pressure systems and related hardware (i.e. heat exchangers,

Preferred 

Familiarity with 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations Familiarity with aerospace and/or aerospace related facility projects Ability to design in solid modeling software a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and phone skills.

Ability to hear normal conversation.  One eye (minimum) correctable to 20/20.

On site

EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES INVOLVED IN WORK TASK

Office equipment includes computers (basic excel, PC Data processing), calculators, FAX, copier, scanner, printers.  Personal transportation vehicle

CRITICALITY OF ATTENDANCE

Work assignments are usually during normal daily work hours.
