Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean and sterile environment for optimal patient care, employing aseptic techniques.
  • Support surgical procedures by preparing materials, supplies, and equipment, and ensuring the sterile field is maintained.
  • Set up the operating room, operate equipment, and assist as a Second Assistant when necessary.
  • Transport patients and maintain specialty carts, ensuring all items are ready for use.
  • Demonstrate age-appropriate care and possess the ability to assess and interpret patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience required; just a willingness to learn

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull 30 lbs, and perform various physical duties required in the operating room.
  • Ability to withstand a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
