What You'll Do:

Relate Search has partnered with a specialized industrial organization in its search for a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support a lean, tight-knit workforce. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this individual will act as a trusted partner to frontline teams and senior leadership alike. The HRBP will play a critical role in workforce relations, onboarding, performance management, and policy alignment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a plant environment, enjoys building relationships, and leads with empathy while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison across employees, leadership, and shared services to manage workforce relations, grievances, and day-to-day HR support
  • Lead onboarding, integration, and new hire engagement efforts including background checks, check-ins, and training matrix tracking
  • Coach and support supervisors in performance management, policy application, and progressive discipline
  • Administer and guide the performance review process through the HRIS platform, including leader training and compliance tracking
  • Provide training on the WHO hiring method and ensure structured, fair candidate evaluations
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and RTW cases, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and reintegration support
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HRBP or Senior Generalist role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required; additional languages a plus
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and performance management
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and comfort with training, documentation, and coaching
  • Proven ability to influence leaders, resolve conflict, and uphold ethical boundaries
  • Comfortable in a blue-collar, plant-based environment with hands-on workforce engagement
