This assignment offers consistent 8-hour shifts, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to deliver essential emergency care in a patient-centered, community-based hospital. Assignment Highlights Location: Wellsboro, Pennsylvania Contract Type: Locum Tenens - Nurse Practitioner (Emergency Medicine) Start Date: December 31, 2025 Duration: Long-Term (6 months) Schedule: Day & Swing Shift Coverage Shifts: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Average of 20 shifts per month available Setting: Hospital-Based Emergency Department EMR: Proprietary Electronic T System Privileges: Temporary privileges available for clean files Credentialing: Expedited processing for active Pennsylvania license holders Facility Overview Hospital Beds: 83 Emergency Department Beds: 16 Annual ED Volume: 12,408 visits Patient Volume: ~1.5 patients/hour Trauma Level: Non-designated (stabilize & transfer model) Team Composition: Emergency Physicians Advanced Practice Clinicians Code Response: EM team-led Scribe Coverage: None This facility serves a tight-knit rural community with full support from hospitalist, imaging, and transfer services.
