Overview:

Join our dynamic team at MV Transportation as a Technology Operations Manager We are looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle various technology challenges in a transit setting while supporting our corporate infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight for Trapeze software, including desktop, server, and network support for client operations, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA). Responsibilities include desktop and server repair, network maintenance, helpdesk ticket resolution, disaster recovery, and other assigned projects.
  • Support analog, Digital, or VOIP telephone systems, including T-1, fax, and DSL lines.
  • Assist with local technologies integral to transit operations, such as Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), in-vehicle tablets, and the Trapeze reservation software platform.
  • Manage local servers, including domain controller, file, application, and database (MS SQL Server).
  • Engage regularly with client agencies to provide reports and updates for the local divisional office.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the client’s IT department.
  • Oversee complex IT projects, managing IT employees and external vendors.
  • Develop strategic operations and investment plans that evaluate costs, benefits, opportunities, and risks associated with various IT initiatives.
  • Control and minimize IT costs while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Ensure thorough documentation is maintained for IT operations and software development processes.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Trapeze transit software is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Active Directory, relational databases (preferably MS SQL Server), and networking.
  • Familiar with major IT systems, services, and technology frameworks such as cloud computing, server virtualization, and application delivery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hardware including computers, servers, networks, printers, and peripherals.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems (7, 10, Server 2012 & 2016) and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication and decision-making skills.
  • Background with desktop, server, and network management tools.
  • Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes.
