Hybrid Correspondent Mortgage Processor

Our client is seeking an experienced Mortgage Processor to join their team. This role is responsible for managing a loan pipeline from submission through closing and post-closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FHA, VA, and Conventional loans, a deep understanding of guidelines, and the ability to calculate income and structure loans properly.
Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline of multiple loans from initial submission to closing and post-closing
- Process FHA, VA, and Conventional loans (USDA a plus) with accuracy and efficiency
- Apply knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, and TRID to ensure compliance
- Calculate income and structure loans in accordance with investor guidelines
- Work closely with Loan Officers, leadership, and wholesale account executives
- Assist with trailing and post-closing documentation as needed
- 4+ years of mortgage processing experience
- Proficiency in Calyx software
- In-depth knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional guidelines (USDA a plus)
- Candidate must have worked for a true correspondent or mini-correspondent lender in a Mortgage Processor role.
- Working knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, and TRID regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5 or 9-6 (40 hours per week)
- Base salary: $48,000 annually
- Structure: 1099 contractor role initially (no benefits)
- After 2 months: will transition to full time w2
- Exempt role (not eligible for overtime)
