As a leader in this team, you will be responsible for delivering insights, scalable data products, measurement frameworks, and advanced analysis to optimize performance in areas like Merchandising, Category Management, Operations, Food Service, and Marketing. Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of BI analysts, promoting analytical rigor and technical skill development while nurturing a curious, data-driven environment.
  • Work with Retail leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and create effective frameworks for analyzing business performance and tracking strategic goals.
  • Transform ambiguous business questions into specific, actionable analytical plans; identify opportunities where data analysis can create substantial value.
  • Oversee the end-to-end creation and optimization of BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, using SQL and leading BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Effectively communicate complex analytical results and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior management, employing data storytelling techniques and visualizations.
  • Perform in-depth analyses using SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and Python/R to uncover root causes and development opportunities.
  • Manage the design and continuous enhancement of core Retail dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Promote data literacy, self-service BI tools, and best practices in data governance within the Retail unit.
  • Collaborate with central data teams to help shape the evolution of data infrastructure and analytics tools needed for retail operations.
  • Explore and apply statistical techniques or models to tackle retail challenges, such as customer behavior analysis and demand forecasting (preferred).
  • Champion data quality and governance best practices throughout the Retail analytics area.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics with demonstrated progression.
  • 2-3+ years in project leadership or direct management of analytical teams.
  • Proven track record of transforming business needs into analytical insights, particularly within Retail or related sectors.
  • Expert SQL skills for complex data extraction and analysis.
  • Deep familiarity with major BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for dashboard development and optimization.
  • Strong ability in data storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Solid business understanding and problem-solving capabilities, especially in retail.
  • Familiarity with data preparation/modeling tools (e.g., dbt, sqlmesh).
  • Exposure to Python or R for enhanced data analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and basic forecasting or predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) is a plus.
  • A commitment to data quality and a passion for continuous learning.

Salary Range: $136,200.00 - $204,200.00

The offered salary will depend on various factors, including experience and skills. Global Partners LP reserves the right to adjust salaries based on individual performance and market conditions.
