Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare. This position is for a PRN Radiology Technologist who will be responsible for performing essential diagnostic imaging procedures for our young patients.

Job Highlights:

Department: Radiology

Schedule: PRN as needed

Pay Rate: Starts at $29/hour with daily pay options available

Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.

Location: SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital

Requirements: Completion of Radiology program and ARRT-R certification within 6 months of hire date.

Relocation assistance is available for qualifying external candidates.

Position Summary: As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform various imaging procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostic results while providing compassionate support to our pediatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
  • Transport patients safely while verifying their identity according to policies.
  • Prepare patients for exams by positioning them appropriately.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, minimizing exposure.
  • Administer contrast media and medications responsibly.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
  • Submit high-quality images and essential documentation promptly.
  • Maintain equipment functionality, reporting malfunctions as needed.
  • Keep the radiology department organized and clean.
  • Perform limited CT procedures in emergencies, if necessary.
  • Demonstrate alertness and a safe working attitude at all times.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision for close and distant tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT-R in Radiography or ARRT-BD in Bone Density.

Work Shift: Variable shifts as needed.
