DCC Transit Works Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex public and industrial infrastructure projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager and field teams to ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and aligned with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers in all phases of construction
  • Assist with schedule development, budget tracking, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
  • Attend project meetings and help prepare meeting minutes
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily logs
  • Support site safety efforts and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
  • Help maintain accurate records and project files
  • Participate in estimating and bidding activities when needed
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, project coordination, or project management
  • Experience with industrial, government, or public works projects (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
