Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75052
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Shift: Third Shift
Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with proven experience in repairing industrial machinery, performing electrical rewiring, and troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and the capability to keep our plant equipment operating safely and efficiently. Own tools are required for this role.
NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED and Steel Toed Boots or Shoes are mandatory
Must be able to pass background check and drug test
You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and minimizing equipment downtime to maintain optimal plant performance. This role works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all production lines and equipment performance from the past 24 hours upon arrival.
- Identify trends, misses, and potential outages that impact key process indicators.
- Participate in team shift meetings and provide data, updates, and technical support.
- Execute planned maintenance tasks and assist with cleaning or other requests.
- Contribute to follow-up actions, troubleshooting efforts, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support root cause analysis and identify when external assistance is required.
- Review and prepare for weekly maintenance schedules.
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel and outside contractors via email, briefings, and meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least one year of technical school or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems.
- Experience with basic electrical repairs and rewiring.
- Safety and environmental training preferred.
- Own tools required.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Prior maintenance experience using mechanical and electrical skills preferred.
- PLC programming or troubleshooting experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for full shift.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to crawl, squat, bend, or kneel for short periods.
