Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) Positions in Boston, MA

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Boston, MA, currently seeking two experienced RNs to assist on a full-time basis. Position details and location: Boston, MA. Duration: 13 weeks to start, with likelihood of extension. Facility type: Correctional Facility.

Schedule:

  • Opening 1: MonFri and every other weekend, 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
  • Opening 2: MonFri and every other weekend, 11:00 PM 7:00 AM

Pay:

  • Local: $60/hr
  • Travel: $2,700 gross/week

Position description:

  • General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment
  • Assist physicians with medical treatments
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Apply surgical dressings and bandages
  • Provide emergency first aid care
  • Check and record vital signs
  • Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing
  • Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in emotional or physical condition
  • Provide patient education and discharge planning
  • Accurately document all care information in a timely manner
  • Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure professional, ethical treatment of inmates
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
