Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Monitor the progress of patients and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health in New Mexico
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric-mental health
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Experience in coding for billing purposes
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
