This short-term opportunity is ideal for pharmacy technicians looking for temporary or seasonal work. You’ll support pharmacists with daily prescription processing while delivering friendly, accurate customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Temporary Pharmacy Technician (Short-Term Assignment) Pay: $19–$23/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Assignment Length: Approximately 6 weeks (late December through early February) Location: Portland, ME Key Responsibilities Enter and update patient and insurance information accurately Assist with prescription processing, filling, and order support Answer routine questions about medications, pricing, and pharmacy services Communicate with healthcare staff regarding refills and non-clinical medication questions Support pharmacy operations including data entry, inventory, phones, and registers Follow all pharmacy regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and safety standards Maintain a positive, professional attitude while supporting team goals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous pharmacy tech experience Familiarity with pharmacy terminology is a plus Licenses & Certifications Active state pharmacy technician license Skills Needed Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ability to multitask and handle interruptions Good computer skills and data entry experience Clear communication and customer service skills Why Work Through ProSearch?
