Investment Analyst - Equity Long/Short Strategy (Industrials Focus)

Overview:
A leading investment firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its team. The firm employs a fundamental, research-driven approach with a concentrated portfolio and a long-term investment horizon. The strategy is Equity Long/Short with a long bias, and the team is known for its rigorous analysis and collaborative culture. This role will have a primary focus on Industrials and related sectors, offering the opportunity to develop deep expertise in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct deep, bottoms-up fundamental research on companies and industries, with an emphasis on Industrials
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models incorporating company and sector data
  • Develop targeted industry expertise and stay current on market trends
  • Engage with management teams, investors, and other industry stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience in investment research or related fields
  • Open to IB/PE backgrounds
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
