Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and managing nursing care services and health education for nursing home guests:

  • Supervise care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/State-Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) and other team members.
  • Administer safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
  • Assess guest health and promptly report changes in status to physicians.
  • Implement new physician orders efficiently.
  • Select and apply appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize guest conditions and prevent complications.
  • Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA's) and assist in developing care plans.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state.
  • CPR certification required.
