Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties to support alumni engagement and donor stewardship efforts.
  • Monitor, administer, and moderate alumni-facing social media platforms to enhance engagement.
  • Collaborate with the VTSU Institutional Advancement Database Manager to identify and resolve data continuity issues.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Leadership Giving with prospect research, donor identification, qualification, and cultivation efforts.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the IA team, utilizing software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant applications.
  • Assist with constituent data archiving and storage processes.
  • Perform additional departmental tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in fundraising, alumni relations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
