MLR is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech to join our dynamic team. The Ultrasound Technician conducts diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound exams as directed by a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or midwife, following established protocols and procedures. Their duties include performing abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally, they are skilled in scanning small parts (thyroid, breast, and scrotum) and conducting ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician instructions.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, imaging results, and procedural details.
- Graduate of an accredited, approved Ultrasound Program
- Ultrasound Technology experience preferred
- ARDMS/ RVT required or obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
- State License as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- BLS required
