Job Summary
The Telecom Systems Engineer provides engineering support for the design, sustainment, and interoperability of GETS and WPS services across multiple telecommunications carriers. This role ensures performance metrics are achieved through rigorous testing, configuration audits, and network verification processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and sustain legacy and NGN priority telecom services (e.g., GETS, WPS)
- Develop and validate carrier provisioning, NSVT plans, and configuration audits
- Analyze network architectures to ensure service resilience and cybersecurity compliance
- Participate in SPC working groups (e.g., WPS on 5G, NNI, VoLTE performance)
- Coordinate with service providers on OAM&P processes
- Draft technical deliverables, including configuration reports, test plans, and performance assessments
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
- 8+ years of telecommunications engineering experience
- Deep knowledge of PSTN, VoIP, LTE/5G, IP networking
- Familiarity with 3GPP, ATIS, IETF standards
- SECRET clearance
- Experience with NS/EP networks highly desirable
