Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Healthcare Facilities Asset Manager in Houston, TX to oversee building systems and ensure operational excellence at critical medical facilities.

Impact

• Maintain continuous operations of life-safety systems that protect patient care environments

• Optimize facility performance and energy efficiency across healthcare campuses

• Support capital planning decisions with data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations

• Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other healthcare facility standards

Responsibilities

• Manage operations and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and coordinate with service contractors

• Monitor building automation systems and energy management platforms

• Develop capital improvement plans and annual facility budgets

• Ensure compliance with healthcare codes including NFPA, FGI Guidelines, and state regulations

• Lead facility assessments and condition surveys

• Manage emergency response procedures and participate in hospital incident command

• Coordinate with clinical staff to minimize disruption during maintenance activities

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of healthcare facility management experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field

• Strong knowledge of healthcare facility codes and Joint Commission requirements

• Experience managing service contracts and vendor relationships

• Proficiency with CMMS software and building automation systems

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) credential

• Experience with emergency power systems and medical gas systems

• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma principles in facility operations

• Knowledge of energy performance contracting and sustainability initiatives
