Technical Writer, Lead

Key Role:

Writes and edits technical documentation for Air Force Acquisition Programs. Applies advanced technical writing skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction, mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator

  • Experience in writing documentation that provides complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with developing graphics to support the communication of complex technical topics

  • Ability to work with multifunctional teams to obtain technical information and program data and develop accurate and high-quality technical or planning l documentation

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Word Expert Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in using AI to assist with the writing of technical documentation

  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series instructions

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition documentation

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
