As a Surgical Technologist, Your Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready for surgical procedures
- Upholding strict sterile conditions and complying with all infection control protocols
- Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by delivering instruments and materials as needed
- Managing and maintaining the surgical tools and devices throughout the entire surgical process
- Keeping tabs on inventory and ensuring the operating room is always fully prepared
- Working in unison with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel to provide exceptional care
- Accurately documenting surgical counts and processes
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- A current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is required
- BLS certification (or ability to acquire within 90 days of joining)
- In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures across various specialty fields
- Strong communication and cooperative skills, especially in high-pressure situations
- Ability to quickly prioritize tasks and effectively respond to the dynamic needs of the surgical team
- Meticulous organizational skills and a keen eye for cleanliness and detail
