Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description The role of a Material Handler involves managing cycle counts, entering data, operating forklifts, and using saw operators in a warehouse and production environment. Safety is the top priority in all activities. Responsibilities Conduct cycle counts and ensure accurate data entry. Operate forklifts and saws efficiently and safely. Utilize computer systems for inventory management. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times. Essential Skills Proficient in forklift operation. Experience in warehouse operations. Strong computer knowledge and math skills, including ruler use. Experience in material handling and inventory control. Ability to perform cycle counting. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 years experience in a warehouse or production setting, preferably in a metals or manufacturing facility. Work Environment Work in a bustling warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiency. The facility hosts 150-160 full-time employees, providing a community-driven atmosphere. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the employer. Shifts are available in three rotations: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
