As the School Nurse, you'll play a vital role in promoting student health and wellness, providing direct care, and collaborating with staff and families to ensure every child thrives. Position Details:

  • Location: Lafayette, IN

  • School Type: K-8 Charter School

  • Student Population: ~200 students

  • Pay Rate: $26/hour

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Start Date: Immediate openings available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver student care using the nursing process in accordance with physician orders and school policies

  • Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care

  • Monitor and manage chronic conditions and medication administration

  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers

  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation

  • Support a safe and healthy school environment

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Licensed as an LPN in Indiana

  • Current CPR certification

  • PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

  • Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)

  • At least 1 year of professional experience (preferred)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
