Shipping & Receiving Clerk 2nd Shift

Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk packs customer parts and ensures all paperwork is in order to ship parts and unpacks, inspects, and stages customer parts for production, and receives all other materials shipped to the site.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Care and treatment of our customers inventory
  • Use the ERP system to generate documents and perform shipping/receiving functions
  • Review the job folder, inspect, and pack parts being shipped
  • Document all applicable data for parts being shipped per job folder
  • Prepare all appropriate documents to go with the parts as per the job folder
  • Receive deliveries and unpack the product for production
  • Inspect incoming customer parts and verify product count
  • Initiate the job folder and hand it off to production planning
  • Document all applicable data for parts being received per job folder
  • Prepare all appropriate documents to go with the parts as per the job folder
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely shipment and resolve issues
  • Assist the supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations
  • Observe all Environment, Health, and Safety Policy requirements
  • Keeping the work area neat and orderly at all times
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Disposal of waste per safety standards
Qualifications

  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders
  • Education: High School diploma
  • Experience: Working experience in a production environment
  • Organized and accurate documentation skills with basic MS Office understanding
Physical & Mental Demands

The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone
