POSITION TITLE: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Maintenance Specialist to perform a diverse range of tasks in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, aligning with our store's business objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute diverse duties to install, maintain, and enhance production machinery and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide emergency repairs during production times and conduct scheduled maintenance repairs.
  • Utilize mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair for production machines.
  • Install and service HVAC equipment; perform plumbing and carpentry functions.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to properly install and maintain machinery.
  • Diagnose issues, make decisions for parts replacement or repairs, and ensure equipment is safe for operation.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Be aware of customer traffic and show respect for customer interests.
  • Be available on call for weekends approximately every 8 weeks.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain general housekeeping in work areas and ensure the service vehicle is organized and well-maintained.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Understanding of general repair and equipment maintenance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting instruction manuals and work orders.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently, with heavier weights as needed.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods and driving to multiple locations.
  • Capable of climbing ladders for equipment repairs or light replacement.
  • Able to work on rooftops.
