JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Technician supports Information Services operations hardware and related equipment, which includes installation, day-to-day maintenance, and inventory control. Assists in computer related problem analysis and contacts outside vendors for additional support when needed. Assists in the evaluation, selection, development, design, and implementation of operations computer systems used to provide information to managers and end users as necessary. Provides primary technical support for the operations function of the Information Services department; this includes all equipment that the operations function is responsible for.

Job Specific:
1. Answers telephone calls to triage issues. (EF)
2. Assists users with issues that can be dealt with on phone or remotely. (EF)
3. Goes to users location to assist with issues that can't be dealt with remotely. (EF)
4. Assists in inventory of IT items. (EF)
5. Assists members of Technical team when necessary. (EF)
6. Assists members of Systems team when necessary. (EF)

Hospital:
1. Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
2. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
3. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
4. Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: College emphasis in computer science, Associate Technical Degree, or comparable experience in:(1) operation of personal computer and midrange systems, (2) computerized file manipulation, (3) programming, and (4) hardware set-up, diagnostics, and maintenance of personal computers, midrange computers, and related equipment.

EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum one year's experience in computer related field and/or hospital information systems. Knowledgeable in micro and mini computing, interfaces, networking, and systems analysis; technically strong in computer applications; demonstrates ability and knowledge to evaluate computer performance.

Preferred: Windows, Powershell, Active Directory, O365 and Virtualization knowledge preferred.
