Job Title: Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

Experience: Minimum years of experience required
License: Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Certifications: BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers and other certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP)

Must-Have:
- Patient management experience, both acute and chronic.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, including history and physical examinations, review of labs, vitals, and medication reconciliations.
- Skills in developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
- Capability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and participation in hospital committees.
- Knowledge of core competencies in clinical conditions.

Description:
As a Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will work collaboratively with teams to provide excellent patient care and enhance the patient experience.
Throughout the day, you will collaborate with your peers and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
Attending multidisciplinary rounds, you will work with various healthcare professionals to provide input on patient management, care plans, and discharge planning.
You will promote effective communication among patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in care decisions.
Educating and supporting patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and care transitions will be a key responsibility.
You are expected to maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters to comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and staying informed about current trends in healthcare practice will be essential to ensure optimal patient care.
Your role will also involve participating in continuing medical education to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.
