We are looking for a knowledgeable Process Consultant to give solid advice in their field of Banking or Insurance. They will be responsible for analyzing a process/process model/function and providing a fresh perspective. You will discover the most suitable solutions, whether it is proposing a new IT system or implementing a full strategic plan.
- Is an expert in matters concerning their BFSI ( Insurance processes).
- Excellent skill in identifying the cause of problems and presenting their solutions in a comprehensive and detailed manner.

- Identify optimization areas within the process functions and derive cost savings benefit.
- Experience in creating business case and manifestation.
- Strong Domain Insurance Knowledge (Auto, Umbrella, Dwelling, P3)
- Strong analytical, statistical, and programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting process analysis and identify areas for improvement within existing processes.
- Designing and implementing solutions: Develop and implement process changes to enhance efficiency.
- Undertake short-term or long-term projects to address a variety of issues and needs
- Meet with management or appropriate staff to understand their requirements
- Use interviews, surveys etc. to collect necessary data
- Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand a problem or issue
- Present and explain findings to appropriate executives
- Provide advice or suggestions for improvement according to objectives
- Formulate plans to implement recommendations and overcome objections
- Evaluate the situation periodically and make adjustments when needed
- Thorough knowledge of field of expertise and willingness to keep abreast of advancements
- Identify Control and Risk Management
Understanding the three lines of defense
First Line: Business units and process owners who manage risks as part of their daily operations and are responsible for implementing controls.
Second Line (Process Engineer's Focus): Provides oversight, guidance, and monitoring of the first line's risk management activities. This includes developing policies, procedures, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance.
Third Line: Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and control processes.
Identify Controls: Based on the identified risks and understanding of the processes, the process engineer collaboratively identifies and recommends appropriate controls to mitigate those risks. This involves:
Reviewing Existing Control Measures: Assessing the effectiveness of any current controls in place.
Considering the Hierarchy of Controls: Evaluating elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE in order to prioritize the most effective and sustainable controls.
