Hypower is currently seeking an Airfield Purchasing Agent to join our team.

Hypower is seeking a Purchasing Agent for the Airfield Division. The Purchasing Agent will aid Project Managers in keeping current projects running smoothly and cost effectively. They will also collaborate with estimating on future projects, track pricing fluctuations and maintain relationships with vendors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotes to procure materials for the Airfield Division
  • Purchase order entry and tracking
  • Following up on back orders and locating replacement alternatives if necessary
  • Manage returned materials for credit
  • Log tool inventory and coordinate tool repairs
  • Assist accounting with invoice discrepancies
  • Assist estimating with bid pricing
  • Ensure materials purchased meet government regulations such as the Buy American Act
  • Monitor lead times and preplan orders with
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of electrical material
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehension of project specifications
  • Team player
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask
