Century Group is working with a full service accounting firm located north of the Denver metro area. Our client is looking for somebody with multi client experience. Local candidates only.

Their firm specializes in providing tax, accounting, and payroll services with the goal of giving their clients more time to enjoy the benefits of ownership. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $120,000 per year.

Responsibilities include:

Accounting:

  • Oversee, train, and support staff in the accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll teams while maintaining performance goals and standards.
  • Provide advanced analysis and CFO-style advice to larger clients.
  • Rectify financial statements and accounting records.
  • Review client financials as part of the regular review process.
Tax:
  • Deliver tax preparation and planning services for small business clients.
  • Prepare tax returns for entities such as S-Corporations, C-Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals, both federal and state.
  • Propose and communicate tax planning ideas upon client request.
  • Utilize tax software for return preparation and processing.
  • Conduct independent tax research to stay informed about upcoming changes.
  • Address inquiries from IRS, Colorado Department of Revenue, and other tax authorities.
  • Foster relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction and offer personalized tax advice.
Miscellaneous:
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with clients and team members.
  • Streamline internal processes as needed.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and training of new clients.
  • Monitor and analyze ongoing production and client statistics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Preferred CPA certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in executing the aforementioned responsibilities in accounting or tax.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • Ability to commute to the Boulder, CO office, as this is an in-office position.
Growth Path: This role offers the potential for promotion to Senior Accounting and Tax Manager, membership in the leadership team, involvement in high-level decisions, and equity opportunities based on outstanding performance.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Annual Bonus: 5% of salary, contingent on personal and firm performance.
