As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy team by compounding and dispensing medications and other pharmaceuticals. You will tackle assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues, utilizing your analytical skills to evaluate situations and data effectively. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to make a difference in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for pharmacists when they are unavailable or assist when workloads are high.
- Fill and verify prescriptions accurately.
- Engage with and counsel patients on medication usage and health queries.
- Collaborate with clinic providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Manage and support pharmacy technicians.
- Administer vaccinations.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 15lbs.
Work Locations: Port Orange, Orange City, and Ormond Beach, FL, with additional shifts available in Jacksonville, FL.
Schedule: Per Diem as needed, with typical operating hours from 8:30 am to 5 pm EST. Flexibility to work up to 40 hours per week based on business needs.
Training: 2 weeks of training from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm EST.
Required Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of FL, registered to administer immunizations.
- BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- At least 5 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and immunization administration.
- Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and support shared goals.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Skill in prioritizing tasks and addressing issues proactively.
- Willingness to travel within the Daytona Beach area and potentially to Jacksonville, FL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PharmD or other advanced pharmacy degree.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Completion of a clinical residency in ambulatory care or a related field.
- Board certification in geriatric pharmacy.
- 2+ years of experience in an ambulatory care or primary practice setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience managing drug therapies for patients with chronic conditions.

Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $115,200 - $158,400 per year, contingent on location and individual qualifications.
