Pay: $40.40 - $56.56 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality sonography services for women's health. You will be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations according to the highest standards of practice and our organizational values.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician's orders, manage scheduling, and educate patients about procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as per your professional scope.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and report any changes in status promptly.
- Select appropriate exposure factors and manage imaging procedures with precision.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Position patients for optimal imaging and analyze results for quality assurance.
- Take appropriate actions to enhance image quality and document scan results accurately.
This role demands critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
- BLS certification must be valid through the first sixty days of hire.
