About the Role: The Dental Lab Technician Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of a dental laboratory. This position ensures the production of high-quality dental prosthetics and appliances that meet both clinical standards and patient needs. The manager is responsible for coordinating workflow and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. They act as a liaison between dental professionals, patients, and lab staff to facilitate effective communication and timely delivery of dental products. Ultimately, this role drives operational excellence, fosters a collaborative work environment, and supports the mission of providing accessible dental care solutions to the community.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher in Dental Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a dental lab technician.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental materials, prosthetic fabrication techniques, and laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to dental laboratories.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from a recognized dental technology association (e.g., National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology).
  • Experience working within social assistance or community health settings.
  • Proficiency with digital dental technologies such as CAD/CAM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Additional training or experience in management or leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with health, safety, and quality control protocols within the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to understand specifications and deliver customized dental solutions.
  • Oversee inventory management of materials and equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
  • Develop and update laboratory procedures and documentation to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, customer concerns, and technical issues promptly and effectively.
