Flying Dutchman Spirits Distillery & Lounge seeks friendly, proactive, and energetic bartenders committed to providing guests with a high-quality cocktail experience. We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve our guests classic cocktails and some exciting new beverages. The bartender will greet guests, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve drinks and food. You will also help create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle essential cleaning duties. 

Bartender Responsibilities: 

  • Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders. 
  • Checking identification to ensure guests are of the legal age (21) to purchase alcohol. 
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. 
  • Handling payment transactions Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment. 

Bartender Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
  • Meets the state minimum age of 18 to serve alcohol. 
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Upbeat, engaging personality and professional appearance. 
  • Basic math and computer skills. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong task and time management abilities. 
  • Eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques. Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc., for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. 

Compensation:$15 per hour + tips
