VHS is searching for a FT Internal Medicine Hospitalist for Dothan, AL
Hospital-employed Hospitalist group seeks additional Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a robust, rapidly growing practice. Southeast Health is a 420-bed regional referral center in Dothan, Alabama and it manages its own hospitalist program. The current practice includes more than 25 full-time board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Our facility serves a diverse patient population spanning multiple age groups, socio-economic classes, and ethnicities.

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS
» Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring
inpatient care, care for transfers and in-hospital consults
» 7 on/7 off schedule, 12 hour shifts, Daytime shift 7 am - 7 pm
» Minimum requirement is 12 shifts/month
» Flexible, individualized scheduling
» Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care
» 24/7 pulm/critical care support for all CC admissions
» 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of in house radiology physician 24/7
» APP support is available
» Provide limited coverage for select private practice primary care patients
» EPIC EMR

» Interventional cardiology, EP and radiology labs, lithotripsy, 3 MRIs (1 a 3-T), 3 CTs including a fixed 64 slice CT and PET Scanner
» 22 ORs with 2 endovascular suites and open heart surgery suites
» Pain Management and Physiatry services provided through outpatient clinics on Southeast Health campus
» 28 bed inpatient psychiatric program and outpatient center with psychiatric hospitalist coverage.
