Job Description
Surgery Technician - Operating Room

Overview
• Shift: Days (Mon-Fri), Call: 2-3 times a week, Weekend Call: every 2nd or 3rd weekend

Requirements
• License: CPR certification, CST
• Experience: Previous OR experience preferred

Responsibilities
• Prepare the operating/procedure room and surgical equipment.
• Pass tools to surgeons during an operation and helps control equipment such as lights, bovie or suction.
• Assist with safe transfer of the patient to the operating room table.
• Assists in positioning patient safely for the procedure to prevent injury or harm.
• Participates in the physician-led time-out.
• Initiates appropriate emergency procedures in collaboration with the physician; including BLS.

• Scrubs/Dress Code: Required to wear scrubs
