Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software while enhancing existing code for efficiency and bug detection.
  • Write unit tests and validate software against acceptance criteria.
  • Author and advocate for coding, documentation, and testing standards.
  • Conduct impact analysis to proactively assess changes across multiple applications.
  • Learn the business process domain for better support in business functions.
  • Experiment with and test ideas, validating assumptions against needs to recommend solutions.
  • Lead code reviews and document changes to ensure clarity and ease of maintenance.
  • Debug and propose effective solutions to production issues across applications.
  • Participate actively in Agile practices and contribute to sprint commitments.
  • Lead learning activities to improve design and code quality.
  • Engage in the talent selection process and mentor less experienced engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficient in developing omnichannel (voice, chat, AI bot) conversational flows using Genesys Cloud CX Architect.
  • Experience with Genesys Cloud Reporting and APIs.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more object-oriented programming languages.
  • Practical experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly Agile/SCRUM.
  • Experience in data modeling, design, and messaging.
  • Background in mission-critical enterprise applications.
  • Willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience overseeing the technical direction of a software engineering team.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure tools.
  • Experience with observability platforms and SRE best practices.
  • Advanced understanding of IDEs and proficiency in leveraging their features.
  • Experience with creating REST API documentation using Swagger.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $130,047 to $190,735.
  • Annual variable cash bonus eligibility based on performance.
